Specialist Optometrist and Managing Director
Dermot is a highly respected Specialist Optometrist and Managing Director of the Keith Holland Clinic, with over 30 years of experience in both NHS hospitals and private practice across Gloucestershire. As an Independent Prescriber, Dermot is qualified to diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, offering patients direct access to advanced clinical care without the need for onward referral.
While skilled in all areas of eyecare, Dermot has a particular interest in treating dry and uncomfortable eyes. He leads the clinic’s Dry Eye Service, which combines state-of-the-art diagnostic technology with personalised treatment plans designed to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.
Since acquiring the practice in 2016, Dermot has built a team of top-tier professionals who share his commitment to excellence and patient-centred care. He remains at the forefront of his field by attending global conferences and co-hosts a monthly podcast, where he interviews influential figures shaping the future of eyecare.

Joanna Keogh BSc (Hons), DipBCNH, MBANT, CNHC
Registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner and Co-Owner
Joanna is an experienced Nutritional Therapist, who graduated with distinction from the British College of Nutrition & Health (BCNH). She is registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and is also a graduate of the Institute for Functional Medicine’s AFMCP programme.
She offers one-to-one consultations, helping clients to optimise their health and wellbeing through personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans. Joanna has a particular interest in supporting women with hormone-related issues, and takes a tailored, evidence-based approach to help each person achieve lasting results.
Known for her depth of knowledge and supportive manner, Joanna empowers her clients to make sustainable changes and feel confident in managing their health. Patients value her thorough, caring approach and trust her expertise to guide them towards feeling their very best.

James C. Turner B.Optom (Hons) MBABO Prof.Cert.Med.Ret
Specialist Behavioural Optometrist
James has been part of the team since 2011, bringing a wealth of expertise and a caring approach to every patient he sees.
Passionate about understanding how vision affects performance, James undertook further training and became a BABO-registered Behavioural Optometrist in 2014.
James regularly carries out assessments for patients referred by schools, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists. He has a particular interest in how Dyspraxia and other learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, can affect the visual system and is dedicated to helping both children and adults achieve their best visual performance.
Alongside his specialist work, James is highly experienced in all areas of routine Optometry, with a keen interest in contact lenses.

Specialist Optometrist
Ankur is a highly experienced Specialist Optometrist with over 20 years of dedicated practice in eye care. Alongside his work in our clinic, he also serves one day a week as a Specialist Glaucoma Optometrist within the local NHS hospital eye clinics, bringing advanced hospital expertise directly to our patients.
Ankur holds prestigious qualifications, including the Professional Certificate in Glaucoma and the Diploma in Independent Prescribing, enabling him to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of complex eye conditions. His specialist interests lie in glaucoma management and medical retina care, ensuring his patients benefit from the very latest in clinical knowledge and technology.
Beyond the consulting room, Ankur is deeply committed to the future of the profession. He is a council member and board member of the Association of Optometrists (AOP) and an active member of the Local Optical Committee (LOC), contributing his expertise to the wider optical community.

Austin Timoney (BSc MSc CS RHAD)
Audiologist
Austin is our highly skilled Audiologist at the practice, bringing extensive experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of adults with hearing loss.
He began his Audiology career working as a Clinical Scientist in the NHS for 9 years, where he honed his expertise across a wide range of hearing and balance conditions. Austin is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of clinical care and access to the latest hearing aid technology.
Austin is passionate about helping people reconnect with the world around them through better hearing. Patients value his calm, compassionate approach and his ability to explain complex information in a clear, reassuring way.

Dispensing Optician
Hannah is our experienced Dispensing Optician, known for her practical expertise and commitment to excellent patient care. She takes pride in helping people find eyewear that suits both their vision needs and personal style.
From children’s dispensing to complex prescriptions, Hannah’s skills cover it all. She’s highly experienced in fitting MiYOSMART lenses for myopia management, teaching patients how to wear contact lenses with confidence, and working closely with our Behavioural Optometrist to support vision therapy programmes.
Hannah’s meticulous approach ensures every pair of glasses is dispensed with precision and tailored perfectly for comfort and performance. Having worked across a range of dispensing settings before joining our team, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care.

Before moving into the world of optics, Amy worked as a dental nurse, where she honed her attention to detail, patient care skills, and ability to stay ahead in a busy clinical setting. She now brings that valuable experience to optometry, managing the clinic’s flow, supporting the team, and keeping everything behind the scenes on track.

Zak is our brilliant Front of House lead and he’s often the first friendly voice you’ll hear on the phone or the smiling face who greets you when you arrive at the practice.
A true eyewear enthusiast, Zak was actually a patient here three years before joining our team, giving him a unique perspective on what makes a great patient experience. With a natural flair for fashion and a genuine passion for eyewear, he loves helping patients choose frames that reflect their personality and style.
Zak is also skilled in making frame adjustments and ensuring every pair of glasses fits beautifully and comfortably. Zak’s eye for style and approachable, warm personality make him a favourite among patients.

Francesca is a vital part of our Front of House team and she absolutely loves getting to know all our patients and making sure they feel welcome and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
With over 15 years of experience in administration and customer care, Francesca brings exceptional organisational skills and a calm, reassuring presence to our busy practice.
